Desafíos 2021 en inclusión laboral

Vicepresidenta de la Comisión de Salud de ASIVA.
A casi tres años de la publicación de la Ley 21.015 sobre Inclusión Laboral, que obliga a las empresas de 100 o más trabajadores a contratar al menos a un 1% de personas en situación de discapacidad, hay nuevos avances en la materia que implican desafíos para el 2021: la promulgación de la Ley 21.275 que exige la contratación de un experto en inclusión laboral y la generación de políticas inclusivas al interior de las organizaciones.
Esta iniciativa es un tremendo avance para un cambio cultural que valore la diversidad, pero no asegura el éxito del proceso, pues aún existe mucho desconocimiento y falta de compromiso de las empresas, pues muchas siguen priorizando las medidas alternativas que propone la Ley 21.015 para cumplir con las exigencias.
Por ello, es prioritario que el Estado considere a las personas en situación de discapacidad como grupos vulnerables en las medidas de reactivación económica, focalizando recursos para promover su inclusión y permanencia laboral, generando programas para las personas y las empresas, con un impacto significativo y sostenible.
También es importante que las empresas se asesoren por entidades competentes y con trayectoria para la elección del experto en inclusión laboral, para que así la medida sea exitosa y un aporte para la empresa y sus colaboradores.
Ya hay organizaciones que han tomado este desafío, acción que debe tomarse como un ejemplo a seguir. Pero es importante no considerar la contratación de personas en situación de discapacidad como una acción de Responsabilidad Social Empresarial, sino que valorar a cada persona como un aporte y entender que el talento y la gestión de la diversidad otorga grandes beneficios a las compañías.
