SAIC Design celebra el segundo aniversario de su estudio avanzado de Londres.

Desde que comenzara a operar el 19 de septiembre del 2018, el Centro de Diseño Avanzado de SAIC, fabricante de Morris Garages, se ha convertido en un importante componente en la creación de diseños innovadores y con visión de futuro de la firma.
 
Ubicado en Londres, el estudio mantuvo sus funciones durante la pandemia, brindando un soporte integral para el centro de diseño de Shanghai, y al mismo tiempo realizando investigaciones independientes, propuestas de autos conceptuales y proyectos de pre-producción para las marcas MG y Roewe, fabricadas por SAIC Motor. 
 
Para celebrar su segundo aniversario, se desafió a tres diseñadores seniors a que imaginaran y crearan un escenario futuro, con una visión positiva para una época desafiante.
 
MG Beyond Concept
“Nuestra conexión con la tecnología siempre se ha visto obstaculizada por nuestra capacidad para humanizar las máquinas. Es un sistema unidireccional frío. Un mundo donde una computadora puede interactuar a nivel emocional crea infinitas oportunidades para que llevemos nuestra conexión más allá”, comentan desde el estudio. 
 
 
Existe un futuro en el que el mundo se construye en torno a la comunidad a través de la Inteligencia Artificial (IA). La información y las tecnologías han alcanzado niveles de velocidad y complejidad sin precedentes y se han vuelto cada vez más sofisticadas en sus capacidades. La IA ha evolucionado para mejorar las comunidades y las experiencias de las personas, acercando los mundos físicos y digitales más que nunca. 
 
El desarrollo de la tecnología biónica, junto a superficies y materiales 3D reactivos se han combinado con la IA para transformar lo que antes se limitaba a un dispositivo en una parte indispensable e integrada de la vida diaria.
 
Así, dentro del concepto MG Beyond, las estructuras digitales son capaces de mostrar mensajes complejos de estados de ánimos y emociones de una forma más física, utilizando colores, formas y sonidos para comunicarse más allá de lo que antes solo era posible con palabras y gráficos.  
 
Las carreteras también se ven “iluminadas” por esta tecnología, ofreciendo una nueva experiencia de movilidad que abarca tanto el lado emocional del movimiento como el lado inteligente de transportarse de un lugar a otro. 
 
Con la introducción de rutas de  alta velocidad, se facilitarán los desplazamientos de larga distancia en vehículos. Los puertos de tránsito se extenderán por todas las ciudades para dar mayor libertad a las personas. Así, las carreteras incorporarán elementos de IA que interactúan con el automóvil para comunicar la velocidad, el destino o simplemente mejorar la experiencia del viaje. 
 
 
El vehículo del futuro
Los automóviles también evolucionan hacia formas complejas que reflejan el deseo de una belleza natural y la alta tecnología. Debido a las limitaciones de velocidad, el rendimiento aerodinámico es un factor clave en la eficiencia, la comodidad y la experiencia del conductor. 
 
El diseño exterior encarna la combinación de formas clásicas de diseño emocional y líneas elegantes y suaves. La parte delantera y trasera de la cabina están cubiertas por palas aerodinámicas, anunciando el advenimiento de una era de velocidad y movimiento. Destinado a viajar por las autopistas inteligentes, el vehículo -totalmente autónomo- recorre los caminos sobre pistas rectas y amplias curvas, que les permite alcanzar altas velocidades para llegar más lejos en menos tiempo.
 
Para moverse, el “núcleo” ubicado en la parte delantera del automóvil se comunica con la tecnología biónica de la carretera. Esta transmisión de energía e información eficiente y ultra rápida proporciona una experiencia móvil fluida e ilimitada. 
 
“MG Beyond” es un ejercicio para celebrar las capacidades creativas y técnicas de Estudio de Diseño Avanzado de SAIC en Londres, ofreciendo un momento para exponer un vistazo de posibles futuros más allá de lo que se conoce hoy, explorando no solo lenguajes de diseño novedosos, sino también presentando historias convincentes y escenarios futuros que satisfagan los sueños de los usuarios. 
 
“El 2020 ha sido desafiante para todos, en todas partes y todos se han visto afectados por la pandemia mundial. Esperamos que a través de este ejercicio creativo podamos aportar algo de color a la comunidad y la red de diseño de automóviles”.
