Patio Birmann es el primer edificio en operación que recibe certificación LEED EBOM en Chile
Este sello es una muestra del compromiso de Grupo Patio con la sostenibilidad.
Por primera vez en Chile, un edificio en operaciones recibió el sello LEED, el sistema de certificación más utilizado en el mundo para construcciones verdes. Se trata de Patio Birmann, uno de los activos de Patio Oficinas -una de las cinco divisiones de negocios de Grupo Patio- ubicado en Sanchez Fontecilla, comuna de Las Condes.
El edificio Patio Birmann (Comunidad Birmann 24) fue inaugurado en 1999 y fue el primero en ser catalogado como Clase A+ en Chile. En 2018, Grupo Patio y la empresa administradora Realsa se propusieron un ambicioso plan de sostenibilidad, cuyo objetivo implicaba maximizar la eficiencia en sus operaciones, reduciendo al mínimo el impacto en el medio ambiente.
Tras dos años de evaluación por parte del US Green Building Council, el edificio obtuvo recientemente la certificación LEED EBOM, que aplica a las operaciones y mantenimiento de edificaciones existentes. Así, Patio Birmann se convierte en un ejemplo de sostenibilidad y en líder en la transformación de la industria inmobiliaria.
“Esta certificación nos incentiva a seguir implementando prácticas sostenibles y a reducir los impactos ambientales durante el ciclo de vida funcional de nuestros activos. Estamos muy orgullosos de que uno de nuestros edificios sea el primero en contar con este sello de construcciones existentes”, afirmó Rodrigo Medina, gerente de sostenibilidad de Grupo Patio.
Uno de los principales atractivos de esta certificación es que actualiza el valor inmobiliario de edificios ya existentes, elevando sus estándares de eficiencia y sustentabilidad. En el caso de Patio Birmann, el activo fue destacado de manera particular por su eficiencia en el consumo energético.
La certificación LEED (Leadership in Energy and Enviromental Design, que se traduce como Liderazgo en Energía y Diseño Ambiental) es el sistema de evaluación de edificios verdes más usado en el mundo que entrega un marco para construcciones saludables, altamente eficientes y que ahorran costos.
