Nuevo MG HS, el SUV que refuerza el estilo original de Morris Garages.
Morris Garages lanzó al mercado chileno el nuevo MG HS. Equipado con motores turbo y un gran nivel de equipamiento, el modelo marca los nuevos pasos de MG Motor en cuanto al desarrollo de sus modelos. Con especial atención en el diseño, el New MG HS incorpora detalles y acentos deportivos, que son parte del compromiso de MG de entregar vehículos de alta calidad y accesibles a las personas.
“Estamos muy contentos de traer un modelo como el nuevo MG HS al país. Este SUV tiene un nivel superior, no solo en el diseño, sino por su equipamiento y materiales. Este modelo es tanto para las familias como para los que les gusta salir y moverse con sus amigos. Es una alternativa de calidad para el segmento, que combina la calidad y valor que MG acostumbra”, comenta Christian Scheel Product & Sales Manager de SAIC Motor, empresa fabricante y dueña de MG Motor.
Espacio para todos
A primera vista destaca su parrilla “Stardust”, característica ya de los nuevos modelos de la marca e inspirada en el modelo conceptual X-Motion, que al centro incorpora el icónico emblema octogonal de Morris Garages. Esta, se une con los focos LED, que también incorporan la ya conocida silueta “London Eye” que hace un guiño a los orígenes británicos de MG.
Las líneas fluidas que van del costado hacia la parte posterior del auto, crean una sensación de movimiento acorde con el concepto del vehículo. Esto se ve acentuado con elementos cromados que se encuentran por todo el modelo, como en la parrilla delantera, las barras del techo y neblineros.
Los focos LED, traseros y delanteros, junto a los señalizadores secuenciales proporcionan detalles elegantes y con estilo en cada esquina del automóvil, los faros delanteros ofrecen una visibilidad mejorada para giros más claros y seguros.
Los espejos laterales eléctricos también incorporan señalizador LED y vienen con sistema desempañante, haciendo más práctica la conducción en los meses de invierno o zonas húmedas.
En cuanto a tamaño, el nuevo MG HS sobresale por sus dimensiones. Tiene un largo de 4,574 mm de largo, 1.876 mm de ancho. La distancia entre ejes es de 2.720 mm, una de las más amplias del segmento, lo que a su vez entrega mayor estabilidad al modelo.
El maletero, que tiene apertura y cierre automático, tiene una capacidad de 463 litros, la que aumenta a los 1,287 litros de capacidad, con los asientos abatidos.
Viajes cómodos
Al interior, los diseñadores del MG han privilegiado el confort y la calidad para hacer del habitáculo un lugar grato, tanto para el conductor como el resto de los pasajeros, los que disfrutan de un amplio espacio para las piernas, así como de salida de aire acondicionado trasero y dos puertos USB. Además, el sunroof panorámico inunda el interior con luz, aportando a la sensación de amplitud del habitáculo.
Otro tema relevante es la comodidad que entregan las butacas deportivas (versión Trophy), que dan una sensación de firmeza al conductor, ya que trae apoyos a los costados y además permite el ajuste del apoyo lumbar.
El interior del nuevo MG HS cuenta con una serie de espacios y bolsillos para poder dejar diferentes objetos. En el caso del apoya brazo delantero, incluye un compartimento con salida de aire frío que ayuda a mantener la temperatura helada de botellas o alimentos.
Conducción “Super Sport”
El nuevo MG HS ofrece dos tipos de motorización turbo. Una de 1,5 lt con 160 Hp de potencia y 250 Nm de torque; y otra de 2 litros con 226 caballos y 360 Nm de torque. Estos motores pueden ir combinados con una transmisión mecánica de seis marchas o una caja automática DCT. La versión 2.0 L cuenta además con All Wheel Drive.
Una de las innovaciones del nuevo MG HS es el botón Super Sport, ubicado en el volante, que activa el modo de conducción super deportivo del auto, cambiando la configuración del motor y transmisión para sacarle el mayor provecho a la potencia y el torque. Esta función mejora la respuesta del pedal y acelerador, como también, el desempeño de la transmisión en altas revoluciones.
De serie el nuevo MG HS viene con una serie de alertas y sistemas de asistencia a la conducción como frenos ABS con EBD, programa anti vuelco, lavado de frenos de disco (BDW), control de estabilidad y tracción, control de frenado en curva, control de descenso y partida en pendiente, entre otros.
La versión tope suma algunas tecnologías del sistema MG Pilot como el sistema de detección de punto ciego (BSD), asistencia a la conducción posterior (LCA), asistencia de cambio de carril (LDW) y alerta de tráfico cruzado (RCTA). El SUV cuenta además con hasta 6 airbags y anclajes ISOFIX.
Tecnología & Confort
La tecnología y conectividad están en el corazón del nuevo MG HS. Al centro del panel destaca la radio con pantalla touch de 10,1”, que permite el uso de Apple CarPlay y Android Auto, que permite la integración del teléfono, la música, mapas, entre otras aplicaciones. Además cuenta con dos puertos USB (cuatro en total).
Agrega elementos como cámara y sensor de retroceso, asientos calefaccionados y climatizador bizona.
Sin embargo, lo que más llama la atención del nuevo MG HS, es el panel de instrumentos de 12,3” incluido en la versión Trophy. Además del velocímetro y el tacómetro, se puede ver información como la autonomía, consumo, presión de neumáticos, alertas de seguridad y la música que está sonando, para que el conductor no tenga que sacar la vista del frente.
Además de esto, tanto los colores de la pantalla como las luces ambiente del auto van cambiando según los cuatro tipo de conducción que tiene el MG HS: Eco, Normal, Sport y Super-Sport.
“El nuevo MG HS es un SUV muy bien pensado para las necesidades de los pasajeros, con un gran nivel de equipamiento que pueden disfrutar todos los ocupantes y viene a subir la vara en cuanto a lo que está haciendo la marca en tecnología y prestaciones. Esto, sin dejar de lado la accesibilidad para las personas, para que se transforme en una inversión inteligente”, concluye Scheel.
El modelo está disponible en cuatro versiones, desde los $12.490.000 (con bono) y cuenta con una garantía de 6 años (o 120.000 km).
